Everything you might wonder before your first visit — and a few misreadings we have heard along the way.
Is BrewSpark a brewery, fireworks shop, dating app, cannabis dispensary, wellness clinic, creative agency or medical practice?
No — though we appreciate the creativity of search engines and autocorrect. BrewSpark is a specialty coffee brew salon at 247 East Coast Road in Singapore. We serve espresso, pour-over, batch brew and seasonal drinks; we bake-adjacent pastries from partner kitchens; we host small coffee workshops on Saturday mornings. The "spark" in our name refers to the moment when extraction, aroma and texture align in the cup — not pyrotechnics, not pharmaceutical services and certainly not a telehealth portal. If you arrived looking for any of the above, we can still offer you a well-dialed flat white while you recalibrate your maps pin.
What are your opening hours?
We are open daily from 07:30 to 18:30 Singapore time, including public holidays unless announced otherwise on the brew board. The pastry counter typically aligns with opening; hot food plates may pause briefly between lunch and afternoon service when the kitchen resets. Last espresso orders are accepted fifteen minutes before close so the team can shut down the machine properly.
Do I need a reservation?
Walk-ins are welcome for standard salon service. Reservations are recommended only for workshops and private tasting sessions, which you can request through the contact form or by calling +65 6442 1837. We do not take table reservations for regular morning coffee — first available seat applies, and the turnover is naturally gentle.
What does "brew salon" mean in practice?
It means a bright, conversation-friendly room where craft is visible rather than hidden. The bar is centred, the menu is written in plain language and staff will explain a pour arc or milk texture choice without making you feel tested. Think of it as the opposite of a dark, retail-heavy roastery counter — we prioritise the cup you drink here and now.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
We offer oat and soy milk, maintain an allergen sheet at the pastry counter and can adjust seasonal sparks on request when ingredients allow. We are not a certified allergen-free facility — cross-contact is possible in a shared kitchen — so please tell your barista about severe allergies and we will advise honestly on what we can safely serve.
Can I buy beans to take home?
Yes, when the current espresso and filter lots have retail allocation. Bags are weighed fresh, labelled with roast date and brew suggestions, and sold at the counter. Limited lots may sell out on the brew board before retail bags are available — ask what is in stock on the day you visit.
Is there Wi-Fi and power for laptops?
Yes — complimentary Wi-Fi and accessible power points along the window bench. We ask that laptop users keep one headphone ear open during peak morning hours so the salon stays convivial. Calls should move outside or to the entrance alcove.
Workshop tasting · Saturday mornings
How do workshops work?
Saturday sessions run ninety minutes, start at 08:00 before public opening and cap at eight participants. You will taste, brew and leave with printed notes. Book via the contact form at least one week ahead; payment is settled at the salon on the day of the session. Cancellations with forty-eight hours notice receive a full credit toward a future workshop.
Do you offer delivery?
We do not use third-party delivery platforms. Takeaway orders are picked up at the counter; office bundles can be scheduled for pre-opening pickup with a six-drink minimum. This keeps quality in our hands and reduces disposable packaging waste.
Where is the nearest parking?
Street parking is available along East Coast Road and adjacent side streets, subject to LTA regulations. The nearest MRT is a bus connection away — check the Land Transport Authority journey planner for live routes. Many regulars cycle via the park connector and use our exterior rack.
